Fuel Cell

Fuel Cell

In fuel cell applications, airborne particles and gases from the air intake can damage the fuel cell stack. To address this issue, the Rotera team is currently developing a new technology that combines microdroplet scrubbing with Disc Stack Separation Technology.

This novel system utilizes gas scrubbing technology where size-controlled aerosol droplets absorb particles and gases in a mixing chamber. The captured gases and particles are then separated through our patented Disc Stack Separation Technology.

The complete system will on a continuous basis prevent gases and pollutants from entering the cell stack. Additionally, the system will reduce temperature and will contribute to an increased humidity level to reach dew point conditions, which are optimal operating conditions for the fuel cell membrane.
